As part of our groups' overall effort to better our community, ChickNite is joining together to combine all of our folding abilities to create as many butterflies as we can to donate to this worthy cause!
I am looking for a location that can house all of us comfortably so we can fold, fold fold!
I am also in the process of finding us an origami instructor (which I think I have located!)

There will be a modest fee to all those who participate to cover the cost of materials and to pay the fee of the origami instructor. I am trying to get the location donated.
My house is just tooo small for this project!

Details to follow!

The Buffalo Bayou Partnership is looking for volunteers to help restore and beautify Houston’s signature waterway.
Buffalo Bayou is well on its way to becoming one of Houston’s primary attractions but we still have work to do. Our new hike and bike trails and growing green spaces need to be landscaped and cleaned up regularly.
Bayou beautification is an easy, fun and convenient way for corporate, school and civic groups to foster teamwork and give back to the community. Bayou beautification also provides enormous results after only a few hours work. Muddy t-shirts and tired muscles only last a day, but the results of your hard work for Houston's signature waterway and park system will last for years.
To join Buffalo Bayou Partnerhsip's Volunteer Team, please fill out our Volunteer Information Sheet or contact Jessalyn Ballard,jballard@buffalobayou.org

The Houston JCC has a wonderful Meals on Wheels program that benefits our seniors. But what you did not know is, they also collect pet food for their pets. They found that many of the elderly were sharing their meals with their pets, so these "AniMeals" make sure everyone gets a full meal. I go past there most weekends and would be happy to drop off any donations you may have. If you go yourself you leave your donation with the person at the front desk. Bew aware, the JCC is not open on Saturdays.
